These terms apply to your use of hamiltonneurofeedback.com, operated by Nigel Barnim, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), as Hamilton Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy. By using the site you agree to them.
Information only, not treatment
Content on this website (including blog posts, videos and talks) is general information. It is not a diagnosis, treatment or a substitute for advice from your own health care provider. Using the site, sending a message or booking a consultation does not create a client relationship. That starts only after a consultation and your informed consent.
Not for emergencies
We do not provide crisis services, and messages may not be read right away. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline, available 24/7 in Canada). In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Results
Neurofeedback, Vielight photobiomodulation, HRV biofeedback and psychotherapy affect people differently, and results are not guaranteed.
Psychotherapy and other services
Psychotherapy is a regulated health service in Ontario. Neurofeedback rentals and Vielight are separate services from psychotherapy. Rental terms are set out on the Rentals page and in the rental agreement.
Fees, insurance and cancellations
Fees are confirmed before your first session. Coverage depends on your benefits plan, so check with your insurer. Our cancellation and missed-session policy is explained when you book and at your first session.
Bookings and third-party services
Online booking is provided by TidyCal, and some links lead to other websites (for example YouTube, Vielight and Google Maps). We are not responsible for the content or practices of other websites.
Content ownership
Text, images and videos on this site belong to Hamilton Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy or are used with permission. Please do not copy them without permission. NeurOptimal® is a registered trademark of Zengar Institute Inc. Vielight® is a registered trademark of Vielight Inc.
Limitation of liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available but do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the website.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
