How Does Vielight Work?
You've probably seen Red Light Therapy panels or masks designed to help your skin look younger and healthier. Picture the same thing, but for your brain.
These work because red and infrared light help the mitochondria in your cells (the 'powerhouse of the cell') produce more energy and function more effectively. Although it may sound like science fiction, there are literally thousands of studies showing that these wavelengths of light can be used to treat everything from acne to hair regrowth to vision problems to wound healing to psychiatric conditions. Simply put, better functioning mitochondria mean better functioning cells, which means a better functioning biological organism!
What this means for you is: turn the Vielight headset on, shine some infrared light on your brain, and voila: ~20 minutes later your brain is functioning better.

Is Vielight safe? Are there side effects?
Vielight uses gentle red and near-infrared light, which is considered very safe. Side effects are rare and mild, including mild headache, temporary tiredness, or lightheadedness after initial sessions. These typically fade in the hours after a session, and occur less frequently as your brain adjusts to sessions.
Compared to other treatments, Vielight is non-invasive, drug-free, and has an extremely safe risk profile.
When does Vielight start working? How long does it last?
Some people notice effects immediately during and after sessions: they feel calmer, clearer, or more energized for the rest of the day. For others, changes build up gradually over as the brain gets repeatedly exposed to Vielight’s effects (improved blood flow, more cellular energy, et cetera).
Neurofeedback is like learning the skill of riding a bike, something you never forget once your brain has learned. Vielight is more like having good cardiovascular fitness: it’s less permanent than neurofeedback, and it requires more consistent sessions to maintain results. That said, no one has ever been worse off after doing cardio.
