Hamilton Neurofeedback

Train your brain, change your life, and discover a calmer, happier you.

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a system for mastering stress and sleep, lifting your mood, and fine-tuning your focus.

It is: 1) covered by insurance
2) non-invasive, drug free and evidence based
3) available for flexible in home sessions and rentals

Neurofeedback provides you with real-time insight into the electrical activity of your brain using electroencephalography. Through operant conditioning, your brain uses this information about its functioning to reduce dysfunctional patterns of activity, which can help heal the root causes of your symptoms and improve mental and physical wellbeing. Neurofeedback is safe, evidence-based and non-invasive, and its results are durable and long-lasting after an average of 30 one-hour sessions.

Testimonials for Hamilton Neurofeedback

Nigel Barnim, B.A., Psychology (Honours), Certified Neurofeedback Trainer and Owner/Operator of Hamilton Neurofeedback

"I completed 30 sessions of Neurofeedback with Nigel. He was professional and respectful throughout. The sessions were pain-free and relaxing. I came to really enjoy the routine and the music and visuals involved in the treatment. I feel much better overall. I've been able to accomplish more goal-directed activities with less effort and distraction. I feel receiving neurofeedback improved my overall quality of life for the better!" - Anonymous

“I started neurofeedback when I was going through an enormously stressful time of my life. It had been recommended to me by a family member who had gone through the loss of a child and she felt this helped her enormously as well. I have suffered from anxiety for about 30 years and worked through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy both in groups and on my own. CBT provided some improvement to my depression and anxiety but it never really went away. When I started neurofeedback before even completing the 30 sessions I started to notice some significant improvement in my ability to manage the stress around me in addition to an improvement in concentration and focus. I now go for “touch ups” when I feel any anxiety creeping back into my life. I find the sessions very relaxing and peaceful. I actually miss watching the graphics as they are quite beautiful.

Nigel is one of the kindest, calmest neurofeedback practitioners you will meet and I highly recommend him and neurofeedback.” - Kim W.
